I have tried a handful of different clay masks and I always enjoy them. This one was the tightest and most intense one so far. I liked it. Each packet definitely contains enough clay for me to use it 2-3 times as well; definitely not just once. As it dried, it really seemed to be pulling my skin taut and was hopefully pulling gunk right out of my pores too. Washing it off was not difficult with a damp wash cloth. I applied some serums and facial lotions afterward and I think maybe my pores had been freshly emptied because I had a slight burning and redness begin to form that usually doesn't happen. It subsided quickly though and was never actually painful. My skin looked very nice and clean, so I was pleased and will use again!

STELLAR!This clay mask comes as six individual envelopes. The directions indicate to add 4 teaspoons of water and the clay and mix in a small bowl.I had read somewhere that this product was also good for travel and the mask could be mixed inside the envelope it comes in so I wanted to test that. I added a little bit of water to a single envelope and used a plastic piece of cutlery to mix it. It worked like a charm! Not only does this make a cleanup easier, it makes these perfect for travel.The directions don’t indicate their recommendations for frequency of use, so I’m not sure if this is a weekly treatment or every couple of weeks or once a month.Once applied, the mask is cool and it definitely starts to tighten as it dries, but not unpleasantly so.The thing that sold me on the quality of this clay mask is that it didn’t flake off!Every other clay mask, I have tried, after it dries, it starts to flake off. Maybe I put the clay mask on and watch some TV, if I move my mouth, little flakes of clay would fall off, and I know it was time to head back to the bathroom to finish my skin care routine.This clay mask is so good, it really adheres and does not flake off. At least for me, I felt like that means it’s really doing a better job of pulling out impurities.

I am a self proclaimed skin care junkie and saw these clay masks and figured I would give them a try. The product "California Biology Kaolin & Bentonite" are mud masks. There is one big bag but inside is 6 individual sachets, aka packets. These are in powder form that must be reconstituted using water. There are instructions on the packet that says to use 3 tsp of water per packet. This does not include anything to mix it in unless you want to use the pouch, which makes it hard to mix. These masks are labeled for anti-aging as well as for detox. I tried this mask and it was pretty straight forward. My skin felt decent after using and it did not dry me out. I cannot say that I felt overly moisturized but I felt clean. This mask is one that requires you wash it off after 15-20 mins or 5-10 if you have sensitive skin. I did about 10-15 to see how my skin tolerates it. It did not note any crazy fragrances with this product, so that is a plus. Overall the product is ok but the jury is still out on how I feel about it long term. For the price it is a budget friendly clay mask so definitely worth trying.

Very nice mud masks!I love how each packet is labled with the best effects (brightening, detoxification, anti-aging) to help you choose.The packets include dry powder. Even though the directions make it seem like one pack per use, when i mixed a pack it made probably 3-4 uses worth of face mask. Definitely worth only using a little at a time!And that means you DEFINITELY get your money’s worth with this product!It took only 20 minutes to dry (even packed on thick), cleansed my pores well, and my face felt very soft after i washed it off.BTW- As someone with severe scent sensitivity- i can vouch this product is actually unscented! Yay! No smell or reactions! Big thimbs up!I hope this helps

A box of 6 variety sachets of Indian clay by California Biology, made in the USA. I have used the current trend of sheet masks but they do not get the same results. Nothing works as well as a detoxing clay mask. This bag contains 2 x anti aging 2 x detoxing and 2 x brightening sachets. Simply mix a sachet with 4 teaspoons of water, mix to a creamy paste & wear for 20 minutes. I found adding water to powder was easier and I got a smoother paste. Powder to water was lumpy. First attempt was applying with a brush, pastry like, but it was easier with fingers if I'm honest. Took a quick 10 - 15 minutes to dry on me. I like that tightening feeling as it dries. Easier to do before a shower, and wash off in the shower as mine flaked off as soon as it was dry and made a mess washing face in basin. But despite all that I really like this. It leaves my skin feeling super clean, bright and soft. I have used both the detoxing ones and now moving to anti aging and then brightening but expecting them all to be just as nice if not better. At the current price of $11 I will continue buying these.

This is so nice for my 74 year old face. I've used good skincare products (primarily Estee Lauder) for decades and Im so happy to have added this to my routine. I cant say exactly what the difference is but my skin looks brighter, refreshed, smoother.... definitely better after using this. I see a more noticeable and immediate difference with this than I have with pricey, 60 and 90 minute spa facials. I was concerned that it would dry out my older skin but it does not. I get 2 or 3 facials out of one of the small packets making it even more affordable than the already excellent value. Crazy good stuff for my crazy mature skin. Yay!

Great product! I’ve been using California Biology products for quite some time now and I simply love them! My skin feels so soft and hydrated. It’s doing wonders for my face. It looks so healthy and shiny. I love that the pack comes with multiple masks and so easy to use. I highly recommend this product and will definitely continue using it myself. I travel and this product packaging makes it so easy to take along so I can continue my skin care wherever I go.

I recently tried the mud clay mask powder, and I have some mixed feelings about it. On the positive side, the powder feels very natural and pure, which I appreciate. I just took my sister to celebrate her birthday in Hawaii. And we wanted to experience a spa like day but couldn't afford the hotel spa prices. So I brought these clay packs with me on our vacation. It was so fun and nice to make up our own clay. We both applied it on and was impressed how nice it felt on our skin. It was easy to mix and one packet allowed both of us to use it. It was easy to work with and didn't dry out too quickly or clump. It spread very nicely and after it dried up we were able to rinse easily off our skin. Then we could not saying to each other how soft it left our skin. Since we were there for over a week, we did another pack before we left. So glad we did! It felt like our skin was glowing. I am a huge fan and will buy them again so that I can add it to my weekly skincare regime.

These masks definitely do a great job cleaning my face. My skin feels so clean after use. They do dry me out slightly but it's easily remedied with my usual serum and cream. My sensitive skin tolerates them well which is great. It has a very light natural earthy type scent. You get 6 individual packets that you have to mix with water so you'll need a small bowl and something to measure the water and stir. Just don't use metal. It's more cost effective to just buy a jar of a similar premixed mask or even just the powder. A few reviews have stated it's great for traveling but I'd only say this is true if you have the room because you also have to pack the required bowl and spoon to use it. This is where a premixed product would be more convenient for traveling if you find one just as effective and I have several different ones that work well. I still think this is a good product but I'd rather just buy a jar of it.

This assortment of six sachets contains two each of bentonite, kaolin and a combination kaolin and bentonite. So far I have tried the bentonite and I really like it. The powder is very fine and mixes easily to a creamy mask that is easy to apply and spread. The mask feels very soothing on my skin. It rinses away easily and leaves my skin feeling clean and pampered. I had some pores that were inflamed but they settled down shortly after using the mask. The pore minimizing lasted for days afterward. I only used the mask on my face and found the sachet to contain enough for two uses.

I suggest using a fork to stir it till it’s smooth since the fork will help you to break up any , little lumps of clay. The claim fixture is easy to apply to your skin and stays put. I left it on for 20 minutes (directions said 10 to 20 minutes). As the mask dried, there was some tightening in my skin and when I washed the mask off, my face felt deeply clean, refreshed, and really smooth. I also think that the price is very reasonable for six packets.
